On-Site Assistance Vehicle Conversion Case Study
Client Requirement:
Auto Solutions was recently tasked with preparing two new on site assistance vehicles for Plant Movements, a leading specialist in installing and removing plant machinery and industrial equipment across the UK. Due to the nature of their work, the vehicles needed to meet strict public and employee safety standards while also providing enhanced security and improved operational functionality for engineers working on the road.
Our Approach:
Our team carried out a complete vehicle enhancement package tailored specifically to the customer’s operational requirements. The upgrades included:
- Highways Regulation LED Lighting - Fully compliant LED lighting systems installed to maximise visibility and improve road safety during roadside operations.
- Security Upgrades - Anti-drill shields and high-security deadlocks fitted to provide enhanced protection against vehicle break-ins and tool theft.
- Reverse Camera Integration - A reverse camera system seamlessly integrated through the Ford OEM screen for improved driver visibility and safer manoeuvring.
- Audible Reverse Beeper - Installed to increase public safety by warning pedestrians and nearby workers when the vehicle is reversing.
- Additional Certified Passenger Seat and Side Window - Professionally fitted to accommodate additional engineers while maintaining comfort, safety and compliance standards.
The Outcome:
The completed vehicles are now fully equipped to support Plant Movements’ on-site operations safely and efficiently. By combining enhanced security, improved driver assistance technology and public safety features, the vehicles are ready to meet the demanding requirements of roadside and plant movement work.
With every upgrade completed in-house by the Auto Solutions team, the customer received two professionally prepared vehicles ready to go straight into service with minimal delay.
